Title: Authorizes the Instruction of Various Scientific Theories
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes instruction of various scientific theories in public schools, effective July 1, 2011.
- Authorizes teachers to objectively teach the strengths and weaknesses of existing scientific theories that are relevant to the course being taught (Sec. 2).
- Prohibits any public school official from limiting a teacher’s ability to objectively teach the strengths and weaknesses of existing scientific theories that are relevant to the course being taught (Sec. 2).
- Prohibits students from being penalized for having any particular position on scientific theories (Sec. 2).
