Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that repeals mandatory life sentences for juvenile murder charges.
- Requires an individual, who is at least 15 years of age but under the age of 18, and has been convicted of a murder in the first degree to be given a life sentence in prison or a sentence of at least 35 years (Sec. 2).
- Requires an individual, who is under the age of 15, and has been convicted of a murder in the first degree to be given a life sentence in prison or a sentence of at least 25 years (Sec. 2).
- Requires an individual, who is at least 15 years of age but under the age of 18, and has been convicted of a murder in the second degree to be given a sentence of at least 30 years (Sec. 2).
- Requires an individual, who is under the age of 15, and has been convicted of a murder in the second degree to be given a sentence of at least 20 years (Sec. 2).
