Highlights:

  • Authorizes an individual qualified to vote and who has a valid driver’s license or identification card issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to submit a voter registration form electronically through the Secretary of State website (Sec. 1).
  • Requires online applicants to submit the following forms of identification (Sec. 1):
    • His or her New Jersey driver’s license or non-driver identification card number;
    • His or her date of birth;
    • His or her Social Security number; and
    • Any other information the Secretary of State deems necessary to establish the identity of the applicant completing the form.

  • Authorizes an applicant that is unable to submit the voter registration application electronically to complete the online registration form on the Secretary of State’s website, print a paper copy and mail or deliver it to the Secretary of State or appropriate county official (Sec. 1).
