Vote to pass a bill that authorizes tuition reimbursement for special education.
- Requires school districts to consider the home life and family background of a special education student when determining what school would provide the appropriate educational program for that particular student (Sec. 1).
- Requires school districts to either grant or deny a parent’s request for private school tuition reimbursement within 90 days after the request has been received (Sec. 1).
- Requires school districts to provide reimbursement to parents within 30 days once the request is granted (Sec. 1).
