Vote to adopt an amendment to S 3240 that increases funding for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
- Appropriates an additional $50 million per year to the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which provides free fresh fruits and vegetables to students at elementary schools throughout the school day, beginning on October 1, 2012 and ending on October 1, 2021.
- Limits reimbursements by the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation to crop insurance providers for administrative and operating expenses to no more than $825 million per year, beginning in 2014.
