Highlights:

• Authorizes the establishment of 5 new casinos in the following places (Art. 90, Sec. 40):
• 1 casino gambling license in the City of Chicago;
• 1 riverboat gambling license in the City of Danville;
• 1 riverboat gambling license in the City of Rockford;
• 1 riverboat gambling license in the City of Park City; and
• 1 riverboat gambling license in a municipality of Cook County.

• Authorizes electronic gambling games, including slot machines, at horse-racing tracks (Art. 90, Secs. 35 & 40).

• Establishes a $100,000 fee for the issuance or renewal of an electronic gambling license that authorizes electronic gambling for a 4 year period (Art. 90, Sec. 40).

• Establishes an initial fee of $12,500 per electronic gambling device except in Cook County where the initial fee is $25,000 per electronic gambling device (Art. 90, Sec. 40).
