Title: Tax Incentives for a Franchise of the NBA
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the renewal of payroll-based rebates for a franchise of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
- Authorizes the extension of a contract of up to 10 years in length to an NBA franchise if an unexpired contract exists (Sec. 1).
- Limits the incentive offered in an NBA contract to a payroll-based rebate (Sec. 1).
- Requires the Department of Economic Development to submit a report to the Committee on Budget detailing the number of jobs for which the franchise has received payment (Sec. 1).
