Title: Requires a Balanced Budget
Vote to pass a bill that requires the biennial budget for fiscal years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 to be balanced budgets.
- Prohibits the legislature from passing a budget that exceeds the most recent 4-year revenue forecast provided by the Economic and Revenue Forecast Council (Sec. 1).
- Exempts budgets that are passed with a 3/5 majority in both legislative chambers from the provisions of this bill (Sec. 1).
