Vote to pass a bill that authorizes landowners to seek damages against the state if a regulation has diminished the value of the landowner's property by more than 50 percent.
- Authorizes property owners to seek monetary damages from the state if a regulation has reduced the value of the entire property by 50 percent or more (Part A, Sec. 1).
- Establishes the Land Use Mediation Program in order to provide landowners with mediation as an alternative to court action for governmental land use actions (Part B, Sec. 1).
- Requires state agencies with responsibilities for land use laws to promote awareness of the Land Use Mediation Program (Part B, Sec. 1).
