Title: Prohibits the Use of Traffic Cameras
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of traffic cameras.
- Prohibits the installation and use of any traffic cameras (Sec. 1).
- Requires the removal of all traffic cameras from highways by July 1, 2012 (Sec. 2).
- Repeals all local ordinances that authorize the use of traffic cameras (Sec. 2).
- Exempts the following traffic cameras from the provisions of this bill (Sec. 2):
- Devices operated in the presence of a peace officer; and
- Devices mounted on a school bus and operated in the presence of a school bus driver.
