Title: Development Subsidies Application and Reporting Requirements
Vote to pass a bill that requires an applicant for financial benefits from a public body with a value in excess of $25,000, which subsidies are intended to stimulate economic development in New Jersey, shall include extensive information in its application concerning additional jobs to be created in New Jersey, average wages and benefits of its current and new employees, and additional information concerning employment. The applicant must file annual reports concerning its actual employment numbers, pay, and benefits in New Jersey. The State Treasurer must then publish an annual Unified Economic Development Budget Report that provides information regarding the costs and benefits of all development subsidies in the state.
