Title: Prohibits Camping on State House Grounds
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits camping on State House grounds.
- Forbids the use of the State House grounds for the following purposes (Sec. 1):
- Camping;
- Sleeping;
- Building a campfire;
- Storing personal belongings in preparation for camping;
- Erecting tents or other structures used for outdoor living;
- Digging without a permit; and
- Cooking.
- Defines “State House grounds” as the steps of the State House building and the outside area of the capitol complex (Sec. 1).
- Specifies that these actions are forbidden regardless of the intent of the participant or the other activities in which the participant is engaged (Sec. 1).
