Title: Exempts Religious Employers from Insurance Requirements for Coverage of Contraception

Vote to pass a bill that exempts religious employers from requirements that employers provide insurance coverage of contraception.
Exempts “religious employers” from regulations requiring employers that provide insurance coverage of prescription drugs to also provide coverage of prescription drugs and devices approved for use as contraceptives (Sec. 1).
Defines a “religious employer” as an entity that meets the following criteria (Sec.1):
Is operated for “religious purposes”;
Has received a 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service;
Has as one of its primary purposes the teaching of “religious values”; and
Primarily employs people who share its religious beliefs.
