Vote on a motion to not adopt the conference committee report of a bill that amends the definition of domestic abuse, and to not appoint a new committee.
-Defines “domestic abuse” as abuse that occurs between family and household members or as a pattern of abusive behaviors between people in an intimate relationship such as marriage, dating, or cohabitation (Sec. 1).
-Defines “family and household members” as any of the following (Sec. 1):
-Spouses;
-Former spouses;
-People related by blood, adoption or law;
-People currently living together in an intimate relationship or those who did so in the past; or
-People who have had a child together.
