Title: Prohibits Obtaining Employment at Agriculture Facilities Under False Pretenses
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits obtaining access to agricultural facilities under false pretenses.
- Establishes that an individual is guilty of agricultural production facility fraud if the individual makes false statements with the intent to commit a prohibited act by the owner of the facility and will receive (Sec. 2):
- A serious misdemeanor for the first conviction; and
- An aggravated misdemeanor for any subsequent convictions.
- Establishes that individuals may be found guilty of a misdemeanor for aiding a perpetrator of agricultural production facility fraud (Sec. 2).
- Defines “agricultural production facility” as an establishment at which agricultural animals and crops are maintained (Sec. 1).
