Vote to pass a bill that authorizes municipalities to pass ordinances to establish smoking in certain venues.

Highlights:

• Authorizes local liquor commissioners to provide eligible establishments with smoking licenses (Sec. 5).

• Requires an eligible establishment to post signs specifying that it has been designated as a smoking establishment (Sec. 15).

• Defines “eligible establishments” as including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 10):
• Bars that earn less than 10 percent of total revenue from food;
• Authorized gambling facilities;
• Adult entertainment venues that require patrons to be 18 years or older; or
• Private clubs at which three-fifths of the members have requested in writing that areas be designated for smoking.
