Title: Prohibits False Information Regarding Election Procedures and Voter Eligibility
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits an individual from distributing false information relating to an election and voter eligibility.
- Prohibits any individual within 90 days of an election from intentionally spreading false information relating to the (Sec. 2):
- Time or location of the election; or
- Voter eligibility.
- Classifies a violation of this bill as a Class 5 Felony (Sec. 2).
- Requires the Attorney General to prepare a report for each alleged violation that includes, but is not limited to, the following information (Sec. 2):
- The geographic area; and
- The racial or ethnic composition of the targeted population.
