Title: Provides Civil Immunity for the Use of Force Against Intruders
Vote to pass a bill that provides civil immunity for the use of force against intruders.
-Authorizes immunity from civil liability when an occupant of a dwelling causes injury or death of an intruder (Sec. 1).
-Specifies the situation in which the use of force is justified as the following (Sec. 1):
-The intruder has illegally entered the dwelling without the permission of its occupant;
-The intruder has done or has attempted to do violence to the occupants of the dwelling; and
-The occupant believes they or other occupants are in danger of injury.
-Specifies that this immunity does not apply to criminal charges (Sec. 1).
