Title: Amends Budget Baseline
Vote to pass a bill that eliminates the inflation adjustment from the formula used to calculate the federal budget baseline.
- Repeals the inflation adjustment from the formula used to calculate the budget baseline, and specifies that the baseline shall consist only of estimated and current-year appropriations (Sec. 2).
- Defines the “baseline” as an annual projection of the current year budget and the surplus or deficit for the current year, the budget year, and the 9 subsequent years (Sec. 2).
