Vote to pass a bill that requires voters to present a valid form of identification in order to cast an official ballot.

Highlights:

-Defines “acceptable form of identification” as any of the following (Sec. 1):
          -Virginia voter registration card;

-Defines “acceptable form of identification” as any of the following (Sec. 1):
          -Virginia voter registration card;

-Requires the electoral board to determine the voter’s identity no more than 1 day after the provisional ballot has been cast by comparing the voter’s signature on the provisional ballot to the signature in the voter’s registration file, and to count the vote only if the voter’s identity can be verified (Sec. 1).
