Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits camping on certain state property.
- Prohibits the unauthorized use of state property, including, but not limited to the capitol mall, as a place for camping, except property designated as recreational camping grounds (Sec. 2).
- Defines “camp” as a temporary or permanent place of dwelling, lodging, or living accommodation which is indicated by, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 2):
- The presence of personal belongings;
- The presence of tents or other temporary structures for sleeping; or
- The presence of individuals performing cooking activities.
- Authorizes state personnel or contractors to seize unauthorized personal property and dispose of any unclaimed property after 90 days (Sec. 2).
