Title: Permitting the On-Site Sale of Alcohol at Distilleries
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes limited distillery licenses and increases the hours alcohol may be sold.
-Establishes a limited distillery license to be distributed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) authorizing holders of the license to (Sec. 21):
-Produce no more than 100,000 gallons of distilled liquor per year;
-Sell bottled liquor produced on site between the hours of 9 am and 11 pm;
-Sell at up to 2 satellite locations; and
-Provide tasting samples of liquor not to exceed 1.5 fluid ounces.
-Increases the hours distributors may sell malt or brewed beverages from 12 pm to 5 pm on Sundays to 9 am to 9 pm (Sec. 17).
-Repeals the requirement that distributors obtain the personal information of an individual who buys large quantities of malt or brewed beverages (Sec. 9).
-Increases the hours restaurants may sell alcoholic beverages from 11 am on Sundays to 9 am, provided that a meal is available for order at that time (Sec. 3).
