Vote to adopt an amendment that strikes language from the bill that states that dispensing contraceptives at a public school is a Class 1 misdemeanor. The amendment also strikes language from the bill that states that a school employee referring or accompanying a student to abortion or family planning services is a Class 2 misdemeanor, unless he or she is the parent or legal guardian of the student.
