Title: Authorizes Individuals to Import FDA-Approved Drugs from Canada
Vote to adopt an amendment to S Amdt 738 to HR 2112 that prohibits funds appropriated in HR 2112 from being used to prevent an individual from importing a prescription drug from Canada.
- Requires the prescription drug to be in compliance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
- Specifies that these provisions apply only to an individual who is "not in the business of importing prescription drugs".
NOTE: THIS LEGISLATION NEEDED A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY VOTE TO PASS
