Title: Prohibits the Use of Funds for Prosecution of Enemy Combatants in Civilian Courts
Vote to adopt an amendment to S Amdt 738 to HR 2112 that prohibits federal funding from being used to prosecute certain individuals in United States courts.
- Prohibits the use of funds appropriated to the Department of Justice from being used to prosecute an individual in a United States court if that individual is determined to be any of the following:
- A member of, or part of, al-Qaeda or an affiliated entity; or
- A participant of a plot to plan or carry out an attack against the United States or its coalition partners.
- Exempts United States citizens from the provisions of this bill.
