Highlights:
  • Establishes that employers must allow a female employee to take a leave for pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition for no longer than 4 months and thereafter return to work (Sec. 1 & 1.5).
  • Prohibits an employer from refusing to maintain and pay for health care coverage for an employee who takes authorized pregnancy or childbirth leave (Sec. 1 & 1.5).
