Title: Amends Eligibility Requirements for TANF
Vote Smart's Synopsis:
Vote to pass a bill that requires the inclusion of Social Security benefits when calculating eligibility for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
Requires the inclusion of individuals living in a TANF recipient household who receive Social Security benefits in the calculation of total household income for purpose of TANF program eligibility (Sec. 2).
Repeals the limitation on the amount of earned income that can be disregarded for the purpose of calculating aid to the permanently and totally disabled (Sec. 1).
Prohibits the state from establishing new marital master contracts or renewing existing marital master contracts (Sec. 3).
