Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity and gender expression.
-Prohibits discrimination based on gender identity and gender expression including, but not limited to, discrimination in the following areas (Secs. 2-34):
-Education;
-Housing;
-Employment; and
-Health care and health insurance.
-Specifies that a crime committed against an individual based upon that individual's gender identity and gender expression is a hate crime (Sec. 3).
-Amends the definition of "gender" to include gender identity and gender expression (Sec. 1).
-Defines "gender expression" as a person's gender-related appearance and behavior (Sec. 1).
