Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits public schools from charging fees for educational activities.

Highlights:
-Prohibits school districts from requiring a student to pay a fee, pay a security deposit, or purchase materials or equipment in order to participate in a class or any other educational activity (Sec. 2). -Defines "educational activity" as an activity offered by a school, school district, charter school, or county office of education that constitutes an integral fundamental part of elementary or secondary education including, but not limited to, curricular and extracurricular activities (Sec. 4). -Authorizes the Superintendent of Public Instruction to withhold 1 percent of a school district's budget for administrative costs if the district refuses to comply with the provisions of this act, and retain the amount withheld until the district has reimbursed students or their parents or guardians for all fees charged for educational activities (Sec. 3). -Specifies that this act does not prohibit solicitation of voluntary donations of funds or property or voluntary participation in fundraising activities (Sec. 4).
