Vote to pass a bill that prohibits health insurance companies from charging patients a higher rate for certain prescription drugs, effective July 1, 2011 until July 1, 2012.
Highlights:
-Prohibits insurance companies from imposing cost-sharing, deductibles, or co-insurance obligations for any prescription drug that exceeds the amounts charged for any other non-preferred brand of prescription drug (Sec. 1).
