Title: Repeals Energy Efficiency Standards for Incandescent Light Bulbs
Vote on a motion to suspend the rules and pass a bill that repeals provisions of the "Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007" that increase energy efficiency standards for certain incandescent light bulbs.
- Prohibits any federal, state, or local government regulation from being enacted if the standard can only be met through the use of light bulbs that contain mercury (Sec. 3).
- Prohibits states and local governments from regulating the energy efficiency of certain incandescent light bulbs (Sec. 4).
NOTE: THIS IS A VOTE ON A MOTION TO SUSPEND THE RULES AND PASS THE BILL. A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY IS REQUIRED.
