Title: Marriage Equality Enactment
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes same-sex marriage, effective 13 days after the passage of this bill.
- Prohibits discrimination in government treatment, right, benefit, privilege, protection, or legal status relating to marriage based on whether the parties to the marriage are of the same sex or different sex (Sec. 3).
- Exempts certain religious organizations and denominational institutions from being required to provide accommodations, advantages, facilities, or privileges related to the solemnization of a marriage (Sec. 3).
