Vote to pass a bill that authorizes mixed martial arts events.

  • Defines "mixed martial arts" as any professional combative sports competition or match that utilizes various combative techniques, including, but not limited to the following (Sec. 2):
    • Striking;
    • Kicking; and
    • Grappling.
  • Establishes an 8.5 percent tax on gross receipts from ticket sales, and a 3 percent tax on gross receipts from broadcasting rights (Sec. 5).
