Title: Authorizes Mixed Martial Arts Events
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes mixed martial arts events.
- Defines "mixed martial arts" as any professional combative sports competition or match that utilizes various combative techniques, including, but not limited to the following (Sec. 2):
- Striking;
- Kicking; and
- Grappling.
- Establishes an 8.5 percent tax on gross receipts from ticket sales, and a 3 percent tax on gross receipts from broadcasting rights (Sec. 5).
