Title: Amending the Health Care Facilities Act of 1979

Vote to pass a bill that revises the definition of a health care facility in Pennsylvania to include abortion facilities, and holds these facilities to the same legal standards as freestanding ambulatory surgical facilities.
Highlights:
-Specifies that an abortion facility is included in the defintion of a health care facility (Sec 1).
-Defines an "abortion facility" as "any public or private hospital, clinic, center, medical school, medical training institution, physicians office, infirmary, or other institution which provides surgical services meant to terminate the clinically disposable pregnancy of a woman" (Sec 1).
-Specifies that abortion facilities have the same fire and safety standards, personnel and equipment requirements, and quality assurance checks as other ambulatory surgical facilities (Sec 2).
-Requires abortion facilities to pay a special licensing fee of $250 (Sec 3).
