Vote to pass a bill that authorizes undocumented immigrants that meet certain requirements to be eligible for non-state financial aid for community and state colleges, effective January 1, 2012.
- -Attend the University of California, California State University, or the California Community Colleges;
-Attended high school in California for at least 3 years;
-Graduated from a California high school or attained an equivalent degree;
-Have filed affidavits stating they intend to gain lawful immigration status, if they are undocumented immigrants;
-Demonstrate financial need; and
-Are exempt from paying nonresident tuition rates at one of the above colleges.
