Vote to pass joint resolution that submits a constitutional amendment to the voters that proposes tax cuts for certain property owners, including homestead owners.

Highlights:
  • Reduces taxes for qualified property owners based on evaluation of just property value (Sec. 4).
  • Specifies that those who qualify for homestead exemption within one year of purchasing their homestead property and who have not owned property for the previous three years are also entitled to an additional homestead exemption for all levies except for school district levies equal to 50 percent of the property's value (Sec. 6).
