Title: Cougar Hunting Zones
Vote Smart's Synopsis:
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a pilot program for cougar management zones in which dogs may be used to hunt cougars.
Requires the State Department of Fish and Wildlife to recommend rules to the State Fish and Wildlife Commission regarding the creation of a pilot program for select cougar management zones in which dogs may be used to hunt or pursue cougars (Sec. 2).
Requires all cougar hunters to possess valid permits and tags issued by the State Fish and Wildlife Commission (Sec. 2).
Limits the annual fee for a permit and tag to $100 for Oregon residents and $300 for non-residents (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this act will expire on January 2, 2020 (Sec. 5).
