Title: Qualifications for Superintendents of Public Schools

Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an individual who does not possess an administrative license to be employed as a superintendent or assistant superintendent of public schools, provided that the individual completes a training course within 1 year of his or her hiring date.
Authorizes an individual who does not possess an administrative license to be employed as a superintendent or assistant superintendent of public schools (Sec. 1).
Requires each superintendent or assistant superintendent of schools who does not hold an administrative license to complete a program conducted by a professional organization of school administrators, and specifies that this program must be completed within 1 year of the hiring date of the superintendent or assistant superintendent (Sec. 2).
Authorizes individuals who are not licensed by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission to be employed as administrators in public charter schools (Sec. 9).
