Title: 2011-2012 Budget Reconciliation for Higher Education
Vote to pass a bill that amends various statutes related to higher education.
-Requires the Arizona Board of Regents to report to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee by August 1 of each year (Sec. 2):
-The graduation rates of each university campus in the previous fiscal year; and
-The retention rates by campus and class.
-Suspends capital outlay state aid for community colleges for fiscal year 2011-2012 (Sec. 5).
-Exempts the Board of Medical Student Loans from the requirement to apportion 50 percent of the monies in the medical student loan fund for students attending private medical schools in fiscal year 2011-2012 (Sec. 8).
-Requires that no more than $2 may be matched for each dollar raised by the surcharge on student registration for the financial aid trust fund (Sec. 9).
