Title: Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees

Vote to override a veto of a bill that appropriates funds for and makes adjustments to the state health plan for the 2011-2012 fiscal biennium, and requires state employees and teachers to pay a monthly premium for health care coverage.

Highlights:
  • Increases the cost of monthly coverage for an employee's basic health care plan to $10.86 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and to $11.43 for fiscal year 2012-2013 (Sec. 1).
  • Requires that the cost of monthly coverage for the standard health care plan for state employees and non-Medicare eligible retirees shall be $21.72 in fiscal year 2011-2012 and $22.85 in fiscal year 2012-2013 (Sec. 1).
  • Requires that the standard monthly cost for retirees who are eligible for Medicare shall be $16.72 in fiscal year 2011-2012 and $17.59 in fiscal year 2012-2013 (Sec. 1).
