Title: Abortion Clinic Licensing
Vote to pass a bill that requires annual licensing for abortion clinics.
-Establishes that beginning on April 1, 2012, in order to receive and maintain a license, an abortion clinic shall do the following (Sec. 2):
-Apply for a license on a form prescribed by the department;
-Satisfy and maintain the minimum health, safety, sanitary and record keeping requirements;
-Comply with record keeping and reporting requirements;
-Pay the annual licensing fee; and
-Cooperate with inspections conducted by the department.
-Specifies that this bill shall take effect on July 1, 2011 (Sec. 9).
