Vote on a motion to table a bill that bans purposeful damage to an embryo.
- -Medical treatment for life-threatening conditions provided to a person by a licensed physician which results in the accidental or unintentional injury or death of another person;
-Medical treatment for life-threatening conditions in pregnancy;
-The screening, collecting, preparing, transferring, or cryopreserving of a human being created through in vitro fertilization for the purpose of being transferred to a human uterus;
-The disposal or destruction of a fertilized human ovum, zygote, or embryo, created through in vitro fertilization, which has been subject to medical testing and analysis, and in the reasonable judgment of a medical professional, if transferred to a human uterus, would not produce a live birth;
-The disposal or destruction of a fertilized human ovum, zygote, or embryo, created through in vitro fertilization, which has not progressed in development for 36 hours in culture;
-Contraception administered before a clinically diagnosable pregnancy of a woman; or
-The termination of a pregnancy that resulted from gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition, sexual abuse of a ward, or incest.
NOTE: THIS VOTE RECONSIDERS A PREVIOUS VOTE TO TABLE THE BILL. A "YEA" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF REOPENING DEBATE ON THE BILL, AND A "NAY" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF HALTING FURTHER CONSIDERATION OF THE BILL. A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY VOTE IS REQUIRED FOR PASSAGE.
