Title: Limitations on Electricity Pricing
Vote to pass a bill that limits the ability of the Public Service Commission to implement inverted block rates for electric service.
-Prohibits the Public Service Commission from implementing an inverted block rate structure for electric service, unless the Commission determines that a utility's actual costs justify an inverted block rate (Sec. 1).
-Defines "inverted block rate structure" as a rate structure under which customers are charged progressively higher rates for successive increments of electricity usage in each billing cycle (Sec. 1).
