Vote to pass a joint resolution that submits a constitutional amendment to the voters that refuses some of the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Establishes that each competent adult has the right to make his or her own health care decisions, and the guardian, parent or legal representative of a dependent shall make the health care decisions for that person (Sec. 2).
Specifies that a person may pay a care provider directly and that the payment may be accepted without penalty to either party (Sec. 2).
Establishes that the legislature may specify restrictions on these rights based on the health and welfare of the people (Sec. 2).
