Vote to pass a bill that appropriates revenue from sales and use taxes, and increases the percentage appropriated to counties, cities and towns beginning July 1, 2011.
Highlights:
- Appropriates 64 percent of sales and use tax revenue to the state general fund, whereas existing law appropriates 69 percent (Sec. 1).
- Appropriates 36 percent of sales taxes collected from out-of-state vendors to counties, cities and towns, whereas existing law appropriates 31 percent (Sec. 1).
