Title: Prohibits Discrimination in State Employment Based on Sexual Orientation

    • Status as a special disabled veteran or other veteran.
  • Defines "sexual orientation" as a person's actual or perceived heterosexuality, bisexuality, homosexuality, or gender identity or expression, and does not include any person's attraction toward a person in which the sexual conduct would be illegal due to the age of the parties (Sec. 1).
  • Expands upon the types of grievances that qualify for a grievance hearing including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 1):
    • Sex;
    • Pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions;
    • Marital status;
    • Sexual orientation; or
    • Status as a special disabled veteran or veteran.
