Vote to pass a bill that prohibits health insurance exchange policies from offering coverage for abortions, unless to prevent death of the mother.
Highlights:
-Defines "abortion" as the intentional termination of a pregnancy (Sec. 1).
-Defines "elective abortion" as an abortion "for any reason other than to prevent the death of the mother" (Sec. 1).
-Authorizes the purchasing of optional supplemental coverage for abortions involving a separate premium paid in the health insurance market outside of the state insurance exchange (Sec. 1).
