Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that provides that six months after monthly production of domestic denatured ethanol is at least 50 million gallons a year, then two percent of gas sold by volume in Louisiana will be denatured ethanol, and that six months after monthly domestic production of bio-diesel is at least 10 million gallons annualized, then two percent of diesel sold by volume in Louisiana will be bio-diesel. The bill also provides that six months after monthly production of domestic alternative renewable fuels is at least 20 million gallons annualized, then two percent of motor fuel sold by volume in the state will be alternative renewable fuel. The bill also prohibits these requirements exceeding two percent for "owners or operators of fuel distribution terminals." Additionally, the bill exempts aviation fuels from the minimum requirements and specifies that retailers are not required to purchase or sell bio-diesel or ethanol.
