Title: Allowing Absentee Voting For Any Reason

Vote Smart's Synopsis:

Vote to pass a bill that authorizes registered voters to vote absentee in person without providing a reason for doing so.

Highlights:
-Authorizes any registered voter to vote absentee in person without having to provide any specified reason while retaining the existing list of specific reasons that a voter may cast an absentee ballot, but only applying it to those who cast their absentee ballot by mail (Sec. 1). -Requires absentee voters that will vote in person to provide the following information on the application (Sec. 1):
    -Printed name; -Last 4 digits of Social Security number; -A statement that they are registered in the county or city in which they are voting; and -Their residence address in that county or city.
